At the University of Applied Sciences Nürnberg we have furnished several halls with ventilated steel podiums and auditorium seating. In the main auditorium, the seat rows are mounted to the front of the steps, enabling easy cleaning. Such details should be considered in the podium planning stage to allow for sunken mountings for the sub construction. End panels can be utilized to balance row ends for radial arrangements, fold-away desktops allow for the legally required clearance as well as superior seat ergonomics.
